A good idea? Gotta give it to HWS for thinkin ahead of the curve in creative thinking in the admissions department. The only reason I didn't throw out the first brochure they sent me was because it asked if i was a hedgehog or a fox

Seems a bit gimicky. I would personally be insulted if I was a high school student thinking they are placating to me in the wrong sort of way.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing this jonah.
ReplyDeletethe fact that its gimmicky seems beside the point- most marketing is gimmicky. my company is launching a 3D glasses campaign soon, so i'll be able to say exactly how effective it is when we see the results of it.
also, its funny to look at the comments and wonder if you know the people making them. i'd like to draw attention to a comment by "Rachel S."
There is a difference between being gimmicky as all advertisers and being overtly gimmicky, so that you focus on the gimmick instead of the product in terms of expections. I expect my crunch wrap supreme pizza to have 3D glasses to focus on "the flavor crystals." I don't expect my educational instituion to need some trick besides the normal puffery (attractive brochures of a campus durring summer).
ReplyDeletehaahahahahaaahahaha
