    This is the first time since 1978 that the away team in game 7 won a championship in any of the major US sports, since the Pirates beat the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series. It is also first cup victory of what may be some of the greatest players of our generation when they are very young Crosby 23, Malkin 22, and at Sthal 20 (who couldn't drink champagne out of the Stanley Cup because of his age). With the Pens and Steelers winning their respective championships Pittsburgh is the City of Champions again.

    The celebration in the Southside friday was pretty ridiculous. Mounted and riot cops everywhere, and it was PACKED. Everyone was (obviously) in a great mood, and I gave out probably 200 high fives. Only bad thing was it took maybe 45 minutes to finally hail a cab out of there (could've walked back to Mt. Washington, but it was like a 25 minute walk up hill). Went back to my friends house and fell asleep to Bowfinger. All in all a killer day.

    And then the Bucs beat the Tigers with a grand slam the next day.
