  1. I read that. But I think you have to play a lot to get this. I'm talking easy-money- WoW/Collin-maple story levels. Yeah Collin, I am implicitly (now explicitly) comparing you to easy-money.

Killzone 2 is coming out Friday. I am excited. What do yall know about it? I think Matt Nye is looking forward to Resident Evil 5 but I haven't spoken to him in ages.

  2. james what you've told me about killzone is all i've heard of it. im excited for RE5 but ken played the demo or something and said that the ally AI aspect is kind of annoying and takes away from the claustrophobic effect that's always made resident evil good. so i am concerned.

  3. ive heard killzone 2 being up for an early game of the year. Reasonably its also been hailed as a latelatelatelate flagship title for the PS3.

RE5 is supposed to be super. racist. with annoying controls (but isn't that a staple learning curve of the series?)

  5. That commercial for Killzone 2 has really got me thinking about a PS3. So, by relation, also thinking about how I'm still unemployed...

Anyway, RE5 is way at the top of my list of games coming out soon, although I've finally developed good gaming habits and have been sticking to 1 game at a time until I beat it. Currently I'm on Tales of Vesperia, and hope to follow that one up with the new Star Ocean

X360 seems to be turning into an RPG fan's paradise.

  6. Killzone 2 First Impressions:

Holy shit, this is the best looking game I have ever seen. Truly amazing graphics with an attention to detail never seen before. Additionally, animations don't have a unnatural 'built on a computer' feel to them. They look good. This game is very cinematic, sometimes I think I am just watching when I am really playing(which maybe is a bad thing).

Beyond that I find weakness. I've only played 3 levels, but the battles do not seem to mix it up enough like Halo, or Call of Duty 4. Possibly because the three levels I've played are all part of the same chapter in the story so the setting is the same. The sound of the battles are amazing, but the sounds of the voices of your teammates and enemies are quite goofy. However, your teammates constantly curse in funny ways so it all fits the mood, I guess. My biggest gripe so far is the controls. Maybe I still have to get used to them, but they are not intuitive like other benchmark shooters. And you can't customize each button to an action!!!!as'dkfj;asdf

The game definitely gets you hyped though. In a way that I haven't been excited from a game in a while. Cool.

  7. Final impressions:

Awesome. The environments changed throughout the course of the game. The controls became somewhat easier and the. In the end I actually gave a crap about the shitty story. I possibly want to go back and find a copy of Killzone to play, even though I rented it back in the day and it was garbage. Anyways, I wonder when the next one is coming out. I hope it is not going to take another 5 years.
