The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations Millennium General Assembly

I saw this a few weeks ago at the National Museum of American Art in D.C. and it totally blew my mind. The artist, James Hampton worked on this in secret in his garage for almost 15 years, and the alter is constructed primarily out of cardboard, tin foil, and various found objects.
